I am expecting anyday a new Studio 17 with the 802.11g half-mini-card, and will be planning on connecting it to my existing wireless network. Alot of the time though the laptop will need to use a dial-up connection from a different location.  I will be using Thunderbird for email, and my email provider is Earthlink. Will I need to use separate profiles for my connection depending on the method of connecting to the internet, or can I use the same one?  I don't want to use webmail (unless using a public hotspot), as I want access to my email inbox and draft files.  Any resources that I can access with advice for multiple setups?
