Precision 5820 fails to boot after latest dell update, which included the bios, giving the error :-

 

STOP CODE: Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (0xD1) What failed: iastore.sys.

 

My boot drive is an ssd slotted into the bottom left caddy.

 

I've tried changing the storage operation between ACHI and RAID and Intel VMD between auto and disabled.

In the windows recovery console I've tried :-

• Renaming the iastore.sys and istorv.sys files - the causes no valid boot volumes to be found
• Injecting the latest storage drivers from the dell support website via DSM

I've tried downgrading the bios to 2.48.

 

Nothing works and I've run out of options I can think of to try.

Anybody able to help?
