Precision 7760 Keyboard Swap

I have a Precision 7760 that my purchasing department ordered with a non-backlit keyboard. Can I just order the backlit keyboard part and drop it in or will there be issues?

The keyboards should all interchange.  The key layout for an international keyboard will differ from that of a standard US one, so be sure you can live with that.

    Hi, trathierbcf4ab
I swapped my 7760 keyboards to the backlight type, and it worked perfectly. As far as I know the international keyboard has Euro sign beside the Dollar sign printed on number 5 key. so it's up to you to select.

The keyboard can be replaced relatively easily, but you'll need to have your IT support group contact Dell for part availability - it may not be available for purchase at this point given that any replacement needed would be a warranty item.

Thank you. Let me rephrase, it is out of warranty and I am the IT support for this. Dell sells 3 versions of the keyboard on their parts page. No back light, backlit US-English, and backlit US-International. Are the keyboards interchangeable and does it matter which backlit keyboard I put in? I'm in the U.S.
