i have been having problems installing xp on a dell Optplex GX110, it start but then go to an error screen.

it says the error is "vga64k"

and has a stop message  "stop:0X000000EA,(0X80A77488, 0X80AADC90, 0X80B63108, 0X00000001)",

 i think the letters are capital.

it also say that

"the driver is programming the device wrong or got stuck in an infinte loop"

i was also going to load the defult settings in the bios but i cant find an option for that.

 

i used my GX1 to delete the partitions and format the drives and now it doesnt work now.

this is a big pain. i think it is a virus or a worm. i have taken out the clock battery and that did not work. next i will try to flash the bios to A8 to see if that will work.

i tried to install win2K pro on the GX1 and start it in safe mode but it almost loads then errors out with

"setup encountered an error which prevents it from continuing", "setup failed to install the product catalogs"

i had xp on this one then it started acting funny so i changed hard drives with one of the GX110 and installed win2K pro. i was thinking about using 95 or 98 to see if those would work
