security patch 5/21

Did dell push an automatic update through Dell support assist for the security issue discovered this week? or do we have to manually do it ourselves?

    Hi arowland21:

I have an Inspiron 5584 and Dell SupportAssist v3.9.0 delivered an update on 08-May-2021 called “Dell Security Advisory Update – DSA-2021-088” to patch the DBUtil driver vulnerability described in the security advisory DSA-2021-088: Dell Client Platform Security Update for an Insufficient Access Control Vulnerability in the Dell dbutil Driver.

Scroll down to Table A at the bottom of that security advisory to see if your Dell computer model is affected.
