7140 - Battery issues after A09 BIOS Update
After installing the A09 BIOS on my 7140, I'm having significant battery issues. The readme states that there were improvements around battery info; maybe these changes need to roll back out.
The main problem is that the battery seems to be charging much more slowly now. I have the tablet and the keyboard/battery and it was estimating around 4 hours for charging both. I left it charge for an hour or so and there was only about a 30% increase on one battery. I'm sure it was faster before.
So I checked the Dell Power Manager software and it no longer recognizes the batteries. They both say "unknown" where it used to list battery health and charging mode. All it shows now is the charge level.

Thank you for responding. I checked the BIOS and it does show the battery status, though it shows the battery as being only 86% healthy. This tablet was powered on for the first time in December 2015; seems it is reading the battery incorrectly or it is defective.
Also, Dell Power Manager still does not recognize either battery.

That does seem pretty quick to get to 86%. You might try to flash the BIOS and uninstall/reinstall Dell Power Manager to see if that makes any difference. What version of Power Manager do you have installed?

I re-flashed the BIOS and the batteries are still "unknown." I'm using v. 2.1.0.

The typical charge time is ~2-3 hours per battery, so your charge time sounds about right. You might try rebooting the system and checking battery status in the BIOS to see what it says there.
