Virus erases restore points, can't fix. Any ideas?

Got some kind of web browser hijacker virus that manages to erase my restore points so there's no way for me to go back. Everytime I get online it downloads a ton of other hijack programs. I have run Hijack This and as far as I can tell it copies certain files names and repeates itself. So for instance, will have a bunch of files such as HPinkjet7686xxh.dat or something. I delete those, and next time i run the porgram it has latched onto another application such as Adobereader66718hdbfn.dat or something. Ran Spybot and it says the system is clean, but is clearly not. Causes my Browers to run veeeeeery slow as well, and constanly makes this clicking sound (like a pop up but no pop up appears). About to throw the computer out the window.

I had at least fifteen restore points set up for various things, now I can't even save the ones that Spybot creates when it run's the check. Ever heard of a virus that erases restore points? Any advice?
