Hello all !   I'm new here and I need some help / advice.  

I have a 1510 Vostro I'm "updating" for my 73 year-old mother to use. Hopefully to Skype, do printing on a HP printer/scanner. She will not play graphics intensive games. Just some low graphics intensity like Solitaire, etc. so the stock graphics card will do.

It currently has 4GB RAM, factory old and slow 5400 rpm HDD, upgraded to Windows 10 64-bit, using Apache Office for usual MS Office duties.

I'd like to install 8 gigs of RAM by using two (2) 4GB PC2-5300 667Mhz DDR2 SDRAM SO-DIMM 200-pin. I know DELL doesn't recommend 8 GB's, but I don't think it'll hurt it since its not going to run a long time under heavy loads. System runs cool too, so overheating will not be an issue.

Where can I buy the RAM I want, preferably new but inexpensive?  I've checked EBay, Crucial, Amazon, and NewEgg. It's older RAM, and expensive. Can I use the 6400 rating and be ok instead of the listed 5300?  

Also, the factory Wi-Fi card is only 2.4 Ghz capable and cannot utilize 5g, so I need to upgrade to a mini-card capable of 2.4 and 5ghz Wi-Fi.   Suggestions?

Finally, I've got a Crucial M4CT512M4SSD2 drive.  I think with 8 GB RAM, and a dual-band Wi-Fi mini-card, Windows 10 64-bit. She should enjoy the laptop and the capabilities of Skype and printing pictures and paperwork, plus using the web.

I'd appreciate suggestions and info.
