I updated from Win 8.1 to Win 10 today using the update ap.

Everything went well except that Windows 10 will not authenticate.

I'm running a Dell XPS8700 that came with windows 8.1. Windows 8.1 was fully updated when I began the update to Windows 10 and I haven't made any hardware changes since I purchased the computer from Dell almost a year ago.

On the activation screen I get error 0x004c003: product key blocked

Any suggestions or solutions to this? I inferred from another site that it might just be a matter of time until the Microsoft servers catch up with the authentication workload - but it's been 5 hours since I completed the updated.
