Dell Laptop Lost in Shipment
I've order many Dell computers over the years - both Laptops and Desktops - all without any issue. I guess my luck ran out this time when I ordered a Dell Latitude from the Dell Outlet. Dell processed the order properly and it was shipped via FedEx Ground. The problem is that the Laptop has not shown up and is now a week overdue from the original delivery date.
I contacted FedEx and they have initiated a Package Trace. I actually got a human being to call me back to say they were investigating and that they should know something by the next day - but that as 4 days ago. I called them back and they acknowledged that they still don't have any update on where the package is.
I have also called Dell and talked with someone about my order status. They said they could see that the Laptop was way overdue and said that they would just resend me another laptop and then backcharge FedEx for the Lost/stolen Laptop. It sounded like they were going to process this request that night. But so far I've not seen anything.. no phone call back, no email telling me the new order is on the way.. nothing.
I'm about ready to call Discover to dispute the charge on my Credit Card to Dell.
I really need to get this resolved and would like to have someone from Dell follow-up with me and let me know what is going on.
It's really not Dell's fault that FedEx lost the Laptop, but I do feel that Dell is not doing an adequate job is recovery.
I'm not a happy Customer right now... Please help me get this fixed Dell....
