Good evening

I have a N5010 that had been put away and i forgot all about it,anyway i found it back last week 

It's running windows 10 and the version i think it is 1607 it's at the shop at the moment 

I been trying to update the version to the latest version and all i keep getting was updated failed to install

I tried reinstalling windows only to come back with update failed

So i took the laptop to a computer shop local to me it had it a few days, today i get a call from the shop and the guy says this model  cannot be updated,so i asked him so the laptop is scrap he said basically yes.

I can't believe this i'm running,  i'm running an old 14 year old HP which still receives updates

Can someone shed a bit more light on this situation
