Yesterday while surfing the web my Alienware M17X R3 black screened (complete loss of power) instantly.  Prior to this I had no issues with the laptop since I purchased it.  Since the shutdown it will now only operate for a few minutes at a time before it black screens me again.  If I try to power back on right away nothing happens, but if I wait a few minutes and try again it will boot up normally.

The instant shutdown issue also happens if I try to reboot. Prior to the post screen it will simply shutoff and I will have to wait a few minutes before it will allow me to boot again.

When running on the battery only I have not had any issues, but the instant I introduce AC power it will black screen again. I've done the batter removal reset to no avail. Also running on AC power without the battery installed will work for a few minutes hen crash.  I've also disabled the nvidia 580M graphics card and although this seems to solve the crashing while running windows the reboot and shutdown crash still exists.

Temperatures all seem okay with the CPU running between 50--56 degrees C.

I ran the dell diagnostics program while in battery mode and it made it through he process fine with no errors.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
