RAM failure number 3
Posting to see if it's just my luck. I've had one machine replacement and 2 additional RAM failures in less than a year. XPS 720 H2C w/4gig, Over Clocked with dual 8900 Ultra's. So there is no question that i generate heat, but the failures have all happened the exact same way. Machine is operating normally, and I decide for what ever reason to turn it off [standard is it remains up 24x7]. I come in teh next day and i get 1-3-2 beep code and lights 3 and 4 lit. The first time I had other issues [Video card failed, would not reboot due to USB issues, seems if I have a 7port hub on the old and new box it hangs at the windows boot] and had the entire box replaced. 3 months after that, same thing, DIMM's 2 and 4 both failed. Replaced those two and 3 months after that repeat.
I cruised the forms and only found one other instance that looked to be similar. With two machines behaving the exact same way [both the USB issue and the RAM failure], I just have a hard time believing i'm the only guy on the planet that has the issue. I keep nTune running to monitor temps and they have all been comparable to others who posted. Current temps 29c CPU; 29c System; 77c GPU1; 66c GPU2. CPU and System fains running between 1420 and 1490. Outside temp 76f.
any feedback would be appreciated.
