A while ago, i mistakenly removed the heatsink from an xps b866...it was kinda glued to the surface of the processor, so that proc was dead for good. Recently though I came across a 650mhz proc p3 that i could use in this machine. There is a problem though, the dell wants to run it at 667 and well the p3 dosent like that and locks up shortly after i boot to 2k pro.

 

My question is:

Can I somehow underclock the processor from dos preferably cause i cant get into windows enough to launch anything, id be happy with it if it only ran at 500 mhz just as long as it will run.
