I can't get my dell optiplex GX1 to recognize a backpack cd-rewriter connected to the parallel port of the PC.  I have checked the bios settings and the LPT port is functioning properly with my printer.  The cd-rewriter work fine when connected to my laptop.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
