I just picked up another PERC8 Shared RAID Controller for my VRTX. I am currently running a single controller and I went ahead and powered down my VRTX and installed the second controller and now I lose my primary storage and all controllers are marked as critical in the CMC. I had to disable the second controller in order to get the primary back up and running. Under the Chassis Overview - Storage - Controllers - Troubleshooting section I did not see the section to enable Fault Tolerance. Right now the controller is disabled in order to get my primary up and running and I am wondering what I am missing here. Do I need to buy a cable or connect something up? I am just missing what I do get this working. I also see a Fault Tolerance Firmware listed for the controller. Is this needed too? I just first want to get the controllers to be in fault tolerance mode first. If anyone knows how I can accomplish that I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
