My computer insists that there are no audio devices attached to my computer. I use an Altec Lansing speaker and subwoofer set, which has always worked before. I went under the Device Manager and found that my sound card was not out of order. I still went ahead and tried to reinstall the Simga Tel audio drivers. I plugged the speakers into another computer and they worked completely fine. I also tried my headphones and did not work at all.

Here's the kicker. When the speakers are plugged in the computer still plays the Windows XP startup and shut down noises. I can get no other audio out of the computer.
