Company bought me a new D505 but the cheapskates would not spring for dock station or port replicator. I went on E-Bay and purchased a refurbed PR01X that I was told should work with my notebook. First problem: no power supply and I found out the hard way that the PA-12 adapter does not supply enough power to support both laptop and replicator. Did a search and found that the PA-10 adapter appears to be the correct choice. Back to E-Bay to purchase a PA-10. Now the screen tells me that the computer is docked but that it cannot determine the AC Adapter type? Press F1 to shutdown is only option.

Where did I go wrong?
