Recently I have taken over a legacy Networker installation running rather outdated version 7.4SP3. While resolving various issues, I found wierd error message "64-bit inode number uses high order 32 bits" that originates from a Linux box. I found a discussion http://www.backupcentral.com/phpBB2/two-way-mirrors-of-external-mailing-lists-3/emc-networker-19/strange-linux-client-error-warning-message-43994/ that states that this warning is caused by the filesystem object with inode number > 2^32 which Networker can't handle. According to  7.5. SP3 Release notes this bug is supposed to be fixed. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to perform an NetWorker upgrade at the moment.

So how can I resolve this issue under this circumstances? Is the upgrade the only option in this case? networker
