Wireless Connection WinME - capped at 56 kbps
I am running dual-boot of WinME and Win2K on a 802.11g network. I am using MAC access control without encryption on a Motorola WR850G wireless router and Motorola USB adapter.
Problem is that the WinME connection speed seems to be capped at 56k while the Win2K connection runs at 1.8Mbps (mcafee speed test). I have tried reinstalling the drivers under ME with no resolution.
This is not limited to internet access as content within the local network are also loading slowly. There was a PCI faxmodem installed prior to wireless setup. Removing or disabling the device has not helped.
Another oddity, since installing the wireless adapter, I no longer have DNS resolution when connecting thru dial-up.
