Wireless Set-Up - Help !!!!!

I am trying to set-up a wireless network with a new Inspiron 6400 laptop I've purchased from Dell and Blueyonder broadband

I have also brought a Belkin Wireless G Router and have been trying to get it up and running but with no success as yet.

I have gone through the instalation process and everything seems ok up until it tries to check for an internet connection.  It goes through it's checking cycle and then comes back with the message 'Problem Connecting to the Internet'. I have check all the lights on the router and they seem to be doing what they are supposed to and all the cables are in the right place.

A message keeps popping up on the laptop saying 'Wireless Network Found' but I cannot get any further than this.

Does anybody have any tips of suggestions I could try to see if I can get it working as I'm at a loss.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, I think I have a learning disorder. I thought you were trying to set up an Axim. When I set up my wireless at home, I had to call Belkin. There are some steps to setup that aren't spelled out in their instructions. But a quick (figuratively speaking) cleared it all up.

I don't know how accurate this is, but when I called Dell yesterday to try to set up the wirless on my new Axim, the lady told me that the Axims do not work with wireless G routers. She said I need a B or G/B router...at least I think that's what she said. She was kind of hard to understand. But she said that I should not have problems connecting at hotspots. I just won't be able to connect at home b/c, like most people, I have a wireless g router. I'm thinking that it won't be worth it to go out and buy a new router...since I have a laptop at home, I don't really need to use my Axim to get on the internet here.

If anyone knows anymore about this than the Dell lady (and that is entirely possible) please reply!
