PV 220s initalization time

I installed a PV 220s about six hours ago, 146GB x 3, RAID-5.  The background initialization is only 6%.  Three hours ago it was at 3%.  There is about 276GB available on this array.  This seems very slow and I was wondering if this was normal?  They are 10K drives connected to their own PERC4/SC.

Update:
Sunday morning, initialization at 36%
Started previous Friday at 1:00 p.m.
276GB to initialize

When I look at the physical disks for Virtual Disk 0 inside Server Administrator, it shows negotiated speed "5" and capable spped "320"

When I look at the virtual drive properties on the first PERC for the drives in the 1600SC, it shows negotiated speed "320"

What's wrong with my 220S and wh is it so slow to initialize?  I followed the "Create virtual drive" wizard in OpenManage Server Administrator.

Thanks.
