I purchased a PowerEdge R640 with a 8 x 2.5" drive chassis without realizing it does not have a front backplane to support the 8 x 2.5" drives. Can the proper backplane be purchased and added easily? I was informed via a dell support chat session that the proper Dell part number for the backplane was 94J5V, but they could not assist me in ordering it. Is this the correct part number I need to order? How can I go about ordering it? Also, are the necessary cables included, or do they need to be ordered separately? If they need to be ordered separately, what are the part numbers for those?
