Please advise if I should change the amount of Virtual Memory to 384 MB as I have increased the RAM to 256 MB.  I'm not getting a 'Your System is running low on Virtual Memory' message but just wondered if Virtual Memory should be changed as I've increased the RAM to 256 from 128 MB; in other words, would such a change increase performance?

 

Right now the Virtual Memory window shows Initial Size of 192 MB and Maximum Size of 384 MB.  It also shows Minimum Allowed:  2 MB, Recommended:  382 MB and Currently Allocated:  192 MB.

 

Please walk me through any changes you recommend as I've never done this before and am skeptical about doing on my own.

 

I have a 4100 Dell Dimension Desktop computer with Pentium 111 processor at 930 MHZ, 20 GB Hard Drive with 10.1 GB free and 256 MB of RAM.  The File System is FAT 32.  I recently upgraded from Windows ME with 128 MB of RAM.
