Hello Everyone ,

I encountered a typical problem this morning. Network guy asked me "why such high traffic is going between these two IP address during the local office hours"?

The two IPs in question were -one from Our DM (server_3) and another from the backup client server .There were no backup scheduled during the time this event took place. More over, the backup guy had confirmed that no manual  backups were triggered during that hour.

There was over 1 GB of traffic where as there is only a 2Mb line at the site. The backups are done directly by Mounting the shares over LAN with out NDMP.

I couldn't trace any error from server_log command. Has any one encountered such issue b'fore? Appreciate if someone can throw some light.
