My alienware x51 is overheating

So i recently bought a alienware x51 i got a older model the one that has the gtx 645 core i3 3220 and i liked it but the gpu was lacking some power so i bought myself a gtx 660 made by zotac and it was doing great for the first couple of days and since yesterday my gpu has been overheating all the way up to 100c under max load idle its 50c i havent crashed yet or got a blue screen since this happends after only 15 minutes of play time i tryed using msi burner to try and fix the fan speed but that doesnt work it still stays at 100c but is it really hitting that i dont know because i only play for 15 minutes then i stop to check my temps and the gpu is ether at 90 or 100c can anyone help my out as to why this is happening i seen alot of ppl use this graphics card in there x51 its not even a ti i bought the 330 watt psu to so i know its not that ether
