Inspiron 5160 overheating
My 5160's motherboard failed a month ago. It has just been replaced and the new board has failed after only 30 minutes, whilst in the middle of installing McAfee updates. Browsing the web, I find that motherboard failure caused by overheating (or inadequate cooling, whichever way you want to view it) is a common problem with this model and similar laptops. Does anyone know if Dell has introduced a modification to cure this problem (e.g., a better heatsink or bigger fan)? There will be no point in fitting a third motherboard unless the underlying problem can be cured.
