I've 2 Precision t5500 that have the same behaviour.

PC1:

It wasn't used since 2 years and was without memory.

cpu : e5506

Bios version is A16

Nvidia Quadro 600

I put one stick of 4 GB PC3-10600r on motherboard: when i power on, it start beep as if there is no memory on board.

I replace this stick by one of 2 GB pc3-8500r: computer start normally.

I add another 2 GB memory stick : computer start.

I add 4 GB PC3-10600r ( total of 3 8 GB) : computer start.

I replace all sticks by on 4 GB pc3-8500r: computer beep.

This means this computer accept only 2 GB pc3-8500r !!

cpu : e5645

Bios A09

Il fill up memories banks with 32 GB of 4 and 8 GB PC3-10600r : computer start and i've installed Win 10 and made update.

As i want to use x5670 on the computer, i decided to upgrade bios to latest version A18.

After upgrade, computer start well.

I power off it after use.

When later i power it on, it start beep as if there is no memory installed.

Only 2 GB pc3-8500r start it.

Even with bios downgrade , the issue is there.

I've to PC1 downgraded bios to A06 with no joy.

Do you have and idea ?
