Registry File Failure
Hey,
I got this laptop about three weeks ago and haven't used it much. I'm not too computer literate! Anyway, I turned it on today and got the following scary message:
STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive (file):
\SystemRoot\System32\Configurations\SYSTEM
Or its log or alternate.
It is corrupt, absent or not writable.
Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete.
Contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance.
I don't have a clue what to do. Does anybody have any ideas? I'm even having trouble contacting Dell. I want to email them about this but I can't find an email address to send to! This college computer I'm using won't let me open a little box to send an email when I click on the email link!
Does anybody have an email address for Dell support in the UK even?
Any help would be much appreciated!
