I want to install Common Event Enabler on a non-Enterprise linux, preferably Ubuntu, Debian or Fedora.

According to the documentation the only supported environments for CEE is Redhat Enterprise and Suse Enterprise (and Windows)

Does this mean that Dell will try it's best hinder my attempts at getting CEE working, or has anyone had success getting CEE working on a non-enterprise linux version?
