I have a Latitude D610 w/XP Pro SP2 and want to removed the OS and reinstall a fresh copy. The problem I'm having is that I'm not able to remove the existing copy and install a fresh copy of XP. Each time I completed the install I still see the original files on the C: drive.

I looked around for XP Format and FDISK instructions

.... however they mostly seem to rely on a floppy boot disk process to utilize the Format FDISK exe; and I don't have a 3.5 floppy drive. The instructions on using the OS disk for the Disk Management tool don't seem to work either because I'not able to delete my single partition and Format not an option I see.

What am I doing wrong? Why can tI remove the existing OS?
