You might want to pay a visit to the Saitek site and see if they have a resolution to the problem. If not, try disabling hyperthreading on your computer and see if that sovles the problem.
have a Dell 8400 3.0 HT P4 about 6 months old with XP home edition. I upgraded the video card to a PCI-E 128mb MSI 6600GT, I have a Saitek joystick and an 80GB Maxtor HD which simpily works as plug and play. Friday my computer crashed and I had to reinstall windows. Today I got everything up and running and know for the second time in the middle of playing Micrsoft Flight Simulator 2004 my computer shut of the blue screen with the following error, saih0464.sys PAGE_FAULT_IN NONPAGED_AREA. Once restarting the computer it sends the error to microsoft and gives a page of possible reasons for this error and says that it might be from the drivers of new hardware and to make sure its updated. It is everything is, drivers and windows. The second time this happened when I pressed the power to restart the power supply fan almost exploded or at least sounded like a jet. Any or referral for help would be appreciated.
I had this problem for weeks. I took the side cover off desktop XPS 8960 to give it more air and the problem has stopped. Have not had the problem since then. did not change anything else.

It looks like problems with the Saitek. See the following:
