Hello,

I own an original Dell XPS 13 9350 (Skylake generation, i5-6200U), originally purchased in Europe.

The palmrest has become sticky over time and the touchpad is no longer working reliably, so I am considering buying a used US XPS 13 9350 as a donor machine.

I would like to reuse some or all of the following parts from the US system:

palmrest / upper chassis
US keyboard
touchpad
related ribbon cables or daughterboards
display assembly
possibly the complete chassis

Ideally, I would like to know whether I could simply transfer my complete motherboard into the US donor chassis.

The donor systems I am considering are also XPS 13 9350 models, but some have different CPUs, RAM configurations and/or display types. Could these differences affect compatibility with the palmrest, keyboard, touchpad, display or chassis?

Dell France Technical Support first referred me to Dell France Sales, and Dell France Sales then advised me to contact US Technical Support.

Unfortunately, the US support website redirects me back to international support because my own Service Tag is European.

I have the Service Tags for my laptop and for several US donor systems, and I would be happy to provide them privately to a Dell representative so the original configurations and Dell part numbers can be compared.

Any help from Dell staff or anyone who has performed a similar 9350 transplant would be greatly appreciated.
