When I ran my stereo recodding deveice into the mic in it recorded a stereo track. At least it looked like it with the L and R meters jumping differently. The selection id inputs in the 'selection" for Cakewak HS also allows left, right and stereo. When I double click on the "recording" setting for the mixer it gived me a stereo mix option for recording along with mic. As I have found nothing on the "stereo mix" setting I really have no idea what it does though.
It is hard to tell as I can't find any specs on most of the things in the computer. Like the sound chip. This part is a bit frustrating. The only info I have found is at the SigmaTel site, and it is not specific to my system as near as I can tell. I ordered one of the "Holiday Special" modesl with the Celerion 1.4 an 80 gig drive the 8600 pacakge 2 that was running at the time.
Yeah well the sound card is the same as mine. It's an integrated chipset, wich means it's on the motherboard, it's not a different card or nothing like the video card
I knew that part, but I figured there would be some info on it. SigmaTel says they do not really release due to agreements with the hardware manufacturer. As such the manufacturer is supposed to have the specs. But, if they are out there I can't find them!
