The Windows XP boot screen is missing or corrupted. (The one with the line that goes across the bottom as it boots.)  Have you tried installing a new boot screen lately?  Look on the net on how to extract that file from the XP CD and put it in the windows/system32 folder.  If that won't work, reinstalling Windows will fix the problem.

It would be better to boot to the XP cd and choose to do a Repair rather than an install.
