It is an option - if you ordered it that way it will have one.

The 'mobile pentium chip' has nothing to do with your wireless capability... intel may have marketed it as being the same thing, but the Centrino package involves the mobile processor, the intel mobile chipset, and an intel wireless card... that being said...

There are a couple of ways to check... go to device manager (right click on my computer, choose manage, go to device manager, and click on the plus sign beside network adapters... do you see anything about TrueMobile or Intel Pro/Wireless? If not, chances are you don't have one... or you can look in the task bar down by your clock and see if you have an icon for your wireless connection... hope this helps :)

Hi,

There are some other ways to check. Look under the smaller door on the edge underneath, that is where it will be.(or will go ) There will also be a lable on the base.

True enough, but I was leaning towards something that would not require opening the case since many owners are wary of in the first place, but thanks for reminding me of the label, for some reason it had completely slipped my mind!

If you have the Centrino setup, then yes, you should have the wireless as it comes as part of the "Centrino Technology"..otherwise, it may be a option you have to add.
