It's been like that for some weeks now. Though, a lot of buyers are still having the backlight bleeding problems and having to do upto 4 to 5 exchanges with no perfect one in sight. So maybe they are limiting the sales. But I think they offer it on some lower desktops, maybe because Dell thinks those buyers are not techy enough to check for the problem or know that it is one.

They are now offering the 2005FPW again with at least the 8400.  I bought my system on 1/28/05 and only the 2001FP was available.  I mostly use it for media -- TV, movies, etc -- and I think that a Wide-Screen is more appropriate.  Do you think I have a case for getting an even exchange under the Total Satisfaction Policy since they are offered at the same price?

No where to be found, even on the low end systems......

Checked Dell's site just 2 seconds ago... no 2005FPW under the Dim 8400 or the XPS. Highly unusual!

Check Small Business.  It's there.  Odd that it's not for home.
