Hello donwilyq,

this is a well-known "bug" with Spybot S&D, and should be fixed
when the next version is released.

There is a rather lengthy discussion of the subject Here. It explains why
this happens, what is being done to correct it, and why you can ignore it.

I hope you find this information useful.:smileyhappy:

donwilyq,

Fear not.  Help is just a click away.  I too was bugged by the famous DSO Exploit (5 entries) tag every time I ran SB S & D.  I was assured by all that it was harmless as long as your OS was all up-to-date with security patches et al.  But still, it was quite annoying to see this every single time I ran the thing.  Then one day I found the buried treasure over at our friend, Major Geeks.

It's officially called, "DSO Exploit fix 1.3.1 TX."  Do the download, follow the instructions and voile', no more DSO Exploit.  Works like a charm.  I never did find an answer on the author's site but MG has one.  It can be found here,    http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4392.html

See you on the net.........jdog23  :smileywink:

dnwilyq,

No problem my friend.  Once in awhile we score a direct bullseye on one of these bugaboos.  It just shows the power in numbers within a great forum site like DCF!  I'm sure that sometime you'll pass along a helpful tip to someone else.  That's how we do it............
