See earlier message dell 1905fs posted 8 feb. Please email me if you find the answer. I have contacted eVGA tech. support, 2nd level and they say it's a bad GeForce FX 5700 card (again!) Waiting for My computer manufacturer to check the old card on known good monitor and cable. Try THAT with Dell! Thanks

How did you switch the monitor to DVI input?  I had the same problem when I install a new Radeon 9250 PCI, but the problem is that I don't know how to switch the monitor to DVI input (I think the default is VGA).  And I have the 1703FP also.  Finally I found a post on some other forums, and someone mentioned to use the '-' or '+' buttons on the monitor to switch between VGA and DVI, and it works like magic!  Was that how you did to switch?  If not, try it and it will work.  Good luck.

As far as I know, the "-" key is the only way to switch from analog to digital.

No, I didn't get any help from Dell.  But the "-" button worked (as the other user showed me).  I wonder why it's just a simple solution but nowhere in the manual that mentions how to do the switch!

Did you get your problem sorted?

You probably did. I just had the same problem but changed the seetings in the Nvidia softward program and is now working fine

Hi,
I have Nvidia desktop on my computer to manage the graphics card. When I right clicked on it I saw a button called anologue display. I clicked this and it gave me the option to click down to digital display. THis worked.

I'm not sure how you are getting to that setting. Can you give me a little more detail?

No, I never was able to get this straightened out. I just stayed with an analog connection. What setting did you change to get it to work?
