Dell E722 Monitor with Dimension 4700

Question

Just got a new Dell 4700 Dimension desktop which originally shipped with Dell 17' Flat Panel.  Gave flat panel to my daughter and connected my Dell E722 Monitor (CRT) to the new 4700.  Can't seem to get the trapezoidal display to go away.  I installed the driver for the E722, played around with the monitor controls but display is still 'curved'.    Surely the 4700 video card can handle a simple CRT monitor???  Btw, I'm running Windows XP Professional, SP2   Thanks   Erma
