Inspiron 6000 Disabling Wireless when I close the Lid

Question

I have an I6000 with the 1450 ABG card. About 5 times now when I close my lid and reopen it later, the network card is shown as disabled. It's similar to what happens when you press fn-f2, where the signal meter is blue with a red x across it. Windows still reports a connection but nothing actually works. I have to go into the connections and disable and renable to get the connection back. I have windows set to do nothing when I close the lid. I had an 8600 for a couple years with the same network card and never saw this happen, not once. Now it's happened 5 times in the past 2 days. Anyone else see this?
