Disconnect all cables to printer. Hold it upside down and shake it real hard for 30 seconds. this will clear anything stuck inside the printer.

Also take a sharp object which can reach inside the printer and try to rotate the feed mechanism roller in clock and anticlockwise. this will also make it free from any stuck objects.

Good suggestion FaxMan01. Let Pattyoh decide what he/she needs to do.

I have a Dell 922 All-in-one printer and had the same problem... I tried the suggested solution and it worked! Thanks for keeping me from going "Office Space" on m printer...

I thought for sure Sean_thebest was joking with this reply. But then I recalled fixing other computer problems with equally simple ideas. So I unplugged everything, lifted up the printer, and barely shook it when a pushpin fell out of the paper feeding area. Problem solved. Sean_thebest clearly lives up to the name!

When the printer says paper jam it might not be paper only, some or the other thing would be blocking/obstructing it to work the normal way. This excercise helps remove them. There is possibility that things unknowningly fall into printer like paperclips, tapes, food partilces etc.

You dont believe. I have got so many things out this way, even some weird things like screw driver, cell phone, feeding bottle to name a few:smileytongue:

Believe it or not!!!

Steve,  U R the Best!!  I have a 920 printer and the paper roller was pulling the paper to the right and jamming the printer.  I tried everything suggested by Dell Support, turning paper over, trying a new package of paper and I was at the end of my rope.  Then I read where you suggested unplugging cables and turning printing over and shaking hard for about 30 seconds.  I couldn't believe what I was reading!!  It sounded really bizarre to me, but I was ready to try anything.  A writing pen flew out of the printer.  Thank you so much for the advice!!!

I have the EXACT same problem.  Nobody has replied to my post.  Has anyone suggested a solution to this problem?  Thank you for your reply.

so i decided to really really look inside the printer and there was a neadle of a red wood tree leaf

visible.  my cat sleeps on the printer, whatever.  i think it brought in a leaf attached to its fur,

very furry cat, and left it in the printer.  anyway got all of the leaf out and no more paper jam.
