sp2 crashed while installing

Question

While installing my downloaded sp2 my computer crashed and now I can't restart the computer.  It asks if I want to go to last workable settings but will not start that way either.  Can I just reinstall windows xp without losing all the other info on the disk? Thanks

I would like to know the same thing. Someone please answer. I am very close to attempting a reinstall but I'd hate to have to lose all my video files. :( Franz

You can perform a repair installation . . which should not damage any programs or files . . key word is should not
