There is a setting in the computers Bios, something like "Extended Video" or "Extended Graphic" that you can check. This will stretch the Dell and Win display to full screen size.

Sorry, it's called "Video Expansion" and appears on my Dell Systems at the bottom on page 3 or 4 of the Bios setup screen.
