Inspron 2600 video upgrade on ebay?

Question

hi everyone,    I have a Inspiron 2600 laptop and have been looking for a video card upgrade recently.  After all the reading it looks like Im stuck with what I bought.  So I was just looking on ebay for the heck of it and found this interesting item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=74957&item=6746546907&rd=1 It says it's a 32MB nVidia GForce video card and that it's compatible with the Inspiron 2600.  Im pretty skeptic about it.  I already emailed asking them if this is the right info and if it could work.  No response yet (just emailed them today).  Does anyone here think it's possible or is it just a mistake/typo on their part?  I hope it's possible.  THANKS

also, when I do a search about the card, in no other website does it show it being compatible with the Inspiron 2600.  Dunno, the more and more I read about it, the more it looks like it's just a mistake.

another thing is the video card is the same type used on the 2650.  The 16MB and the 32MB look almost exactly the same.  I doubt that they stopped producing them either because other websites and stores are selling the same type of card too in new condition if Im right.  Im really tempted to buy it, just dunno if anyone here has tried it yet.

It is possible - such a card was sold, though in limited quantity (as you can see from the buy it now price, they're still expensive).

Well, I got an email back from the seller and he says 'thank you for your concerned, but the information is correct'.  I wrote him another email asking for a guarantee.  If this does work, then the Dell representatives should really need to get to know their own items.  So far, Dell hasn't given me any direct answer on an upgraded video card for the Inspiron 2600.

Ask the seller for a guarantee. These two systems share a chassis with each other but not with other Dell systems (there was a Latitude version, but the chassis is not the common C-chassis).

I asked the seller about guarantee.  He gives a 14 day warranty (that really blows) but he pretty much stands by his word with this one.  I bought it and should be here in about 4-5 days.  I really hope this works.  Then I would be able to play some decent games on the 2600 for once.  This would also prove that there is an upgrade for the 2600 for people to know about.  Anyone else have any more info on this video card though?

Well, turns out Im wrong.  The video card came and turns out it can't plug into the motherboard.  Also much to big to just fit in there.  Hope I didn't raise anyones hopes.
