it will probably work but I wouldn't expect great things as far as quality goes. personally, if you want to record decent TV I would buy something that does everything via a USB2 connection
If you want to hear any audio that goes through the mic jack you have to make the Registry change that I described to internetfreak in the previous thread.
However, many have reported that the tv tuners send out a very loud audio signal which overwells the jack which is designed for low level mic input. If you don't have a way to attenuate the volume that comes from the tuner you might experience poor results as Nemesis said.
