hey hey hey, chill out man. i know you're pretty excited but let's hold that thought till you actually get the machine and ran those tests and get the same figures. because that's just the test system, and we never know what will happen to the final product. i've just ordered mine and will arrive apr 11, so we'll see what happens then.
Just out of curiosity, what was the computer you upgraded from?
I have the Gen I XPS with the 256MB Mobility 9800... It runs DOOM III very nicely with the graphics maxed out.
Have fun with your new laptop. In terms of adult toys, buying a new computer is close to buying a new car. However, as a wise friend once told me, you cannot sleep with your car and I suspect that goes the same for your laptop!
Let us know how it performs. The only thing I dislike about my XPS is its weight. It's not portable in any sense...
o my bad, didnt read the benchmarks well enough, OMFG!! if that really is that good im going to be blown out of my mind!!!!!!
i wonder if this means that gettin any alienware computer at all wont be better than this frickin notebook, altho notebooks freeze games a lot mroe often and im having a problem of image tearing with mine on lots of games (please help, ive posted this topic already)
Dude, we are all happy for you that you have ordered the most advanced laptop ever built --- until three months from now.
Now, stop bragginging about and pumping your laptop. We know it's cool. We know it's fast. We know that all of us with inferior computers wish we had one...
Again, I ask, if you sleep with it at night, will it keep you warm?
