Sharon,

What exactly is the problem.

Is it inserting the sound file into powerpoint.

Or you can insert the sound file into powerpoint...but when you email the presentation the sound is not heard by the other users?

Cheers

techynot,

This page explains why certain items (sounds, videos, etc) are not played properly after you have emailed the presentation.

Links break when I move presentation (and at other times)
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00155.htm

Namely....

If you Insert, Sounds, From File and choose a WAV file of say 50kb, it will be linked to your presentation.

But if you first went to Tools, Options and set Link Sounds With File Size Greater Than: to more than 50kb, PowerPoint would embed the WAV and you wouldn't need to worry about the link breaking because there'd BE no link.

Thanks Tajsimmons!

My first visit to this forum and less than 24 hours my dilema is solved.

Sometimes the simplest task can be extremely frustrating; thanks for providing the missing link to the chain of events in my project!

I will definitely do the same for someone else in the next few days.
