PROBLEMS WITH DMX

Question

I have had my Diminsion 3000 for 5 weeks.  I have had problems for 5 weeks.  When I recieved my computer DMX was dead, would not come up at all.   They said I had a bad disk and sent a tech out to put in a new disk.   When I tried to use MDX a few things worked, not many.  I e mailed  the tech as I did the first disk.  I was told to delete DMX  and reinstall from the cd that I had to e mail and have sent to me.  I had a DMX with 65MB that came with the disk.  when I deleted that and reinstalled from THE DELL TOOLS CD, I had 1.93MB, I went to cyberlink and downloaded the update,   the 2.2 version of 20MB.  I cannot get the 20MB to update the 1.93MB from the cd.   Yesterday i believe I email tech support and they said there was no warrenty on software, the only warrenty I had was on the hardware.  I guess they got tired of trying to help me.  The lady said it would cost me $39.00 for her to help me.   have anyone else heard that no warrenty on the software.  Can some one tell me how to get DMX to work and up date.

BOB987, So you reinstalled DMX from the Tools CD? Does it open at all? If yes, click Help- About. What version is it?

I am using 2.2.1916 and I am trying to download 2.2.2714 through the update button and I get cut off from the server at about half way through the download. i get this error message

IE cannot download...14_forAllVersions_8lang.exe from download.gocyberlink.com.

I turned off McAfee and Window firwall and still not get through.

I went to cyberlink and lownloaded a 20MB up date but it would not open. It is in my dell update file. I also found in the Dell folder on C about 384MB of DMX.I went through it and could not find a set up Icon. Can you tell me how to open the 384MB folder?

I have deleted DMX and reinstalled it from disk # 8516 a few times.
