9300 light leakage?

Hello!   I just placed an order for the new i9300 today. While reading the forum, I came across this monitor issue about light leakage. Has this been fixed with the current ones or is it still a random thing that you get? Dell is giving away good deals this week for $350 off your purchase and another $800 off if you have a valid discount coupon. Why so much?   In my confirmation order, the 53 WHR 6-cell,lion prim batt that I ordered is listed for i9200. Is this a problem?   Thank you!

I don't think the $350 off and the $800 off stack with each other.  Using the $800 off should cancel the $350. I can't answer your other questions.

the light leakage you mentioned is usually  refered to the 9200 which is now discontinued.  the coupon is not stackable, but is still great deal off.   I got inspiron 9300 1.60ghz/533 fsb centrino 17 inch true life screen 1gb ddr2 256mb nvidia 6800 60gb 7200 soon upgrade to 80gb 10000rpm 8Xdvd+/- rw drive intel pro wireless 2915 80whr 9-cell 350 bluetooth all for $1,602 with dell coupon,,,,,,,try and beat that..

The battery for the 9300 and 9200 are the same, this will not be a problem. I received my 9300 about ten days ago and I am quite happy with the display. No light leakage at all. I have a XGA+ Samsung display.

They good deal is a lie, these insprion 9300 laptops are junk. They are cheaply made and all defective. Sony is much nicer and higher quality. Sony also offers american support and not from india, but from Texas and Florida. Dell support is such a joke you cannot even imagine.

I got mine last week and I love my 9300. I have no problem with my LCD (WUXGA)
